Ice Off Alaska
This rugged member of a UDT unit undergoing a training problem along the northern coast of Alaska proves the water is cold by bringing ashore a piece of ice. Beyond him other men swim about in the icy waters. In this arctic exercise the men, clad in special clothing, pushed aside ice floes and swam for almost a half-hour in water several degrees below freezing, to test their equipment. They can operate from pole to pole if need be in case of future war.
