Editor's Note: First of all we'd like
to thank you all for your generous support of our efforts, from
Alaska, to Greece, to Hawaii, to Wyoming and beyond. It seems upon
reflection that a book once begun takes on a life of its own. It was
great to talk to many of you, to hear your comments and criticisms.
More importantly to be able to thank you personally. You truly are
the best and greatest frogs in the world.
Here's a couple of comments sent to us just to give you an idea: From Capt Robin Goodenough: "One of the best worthwhile souvenirs for me out of two wars. From Hoot Andrews: "Your book is the best I've seen with regard to UDT's and SEAL's." You both (Don & Blann) have produced a lifetime coffee table testament to us." From the other side: A young SEAL who had seen a journal asked some old frogs about it who said: "It's just a bunch of stories by some old men." He ordered one that day! This update tries to correct some of our more embarrassing errors with the hope that we will be at least partly forgiven. Corrections to The Fifties Frogs Journal No. 1: We misspelled the name of one of our benefactors, H. T. Aldhiser at the UDT-SEAL Museum. He has been with us all the way and a great guy. No.2 Friend, Art Arseneault, noted
that we made the APD Carpellotti the Diachenko. I'd swear that's
what it said on the back of the photo. Oh well. No. 4 C.
Gardiner Sullivan noted that part of his bio is missing, He was

No. 6 Frank Moncrief's wife is very certainly a charming and bright lady. However she did not delight to find herself named after a light bulb (Sylvania). Her name is Sylvia. Sylvia, a thousand pardons. (I think Blann did this to get me into hot water.) No. 7 Blann and I were working late night hours. We came to Don Peirce's bio. Tired and cranky, we had an "i-before -e" argument. No! Don Peirce's name defies the rule and he says so. So it is.

8 Ginny Price emailed this. She learned that Lee Stephen's wife Martha
was alive and well. For which all of us are grateful. I think it was
Mark Twain who said something like this: "the rumors of my death are
grossly exaggerated." In the strained moments of pre-publishing, some
lines backed up over previous text or in the rush of things, I lost it.
I intended to check it out but didn't. Thanks Ginny. Humble apologies to
Lee and Martha. Please delete last line in the Legend in Lee's bio on
page 4.c.13. Biographies: additions/corrections
