Franklin Anderson on
Steve: It is with great sadness that I relay this message. Steve was my
mentor when I came into the teams. He was an excellent instructor and
knowledgeable in many ways. He was greatly missed at the Branson Fifties
reunion. Fair winds and a following sea.

Frank Toms on Steve: It is with a sad heart that I send their
message. Steve was an institution among old Frogs and one of the finest
individuals I have known.
He lost a lengthy battle with lung cancer caused by asbestos in the
shipyards after retirement from the Navy. He absolutely kept an excellent
attitude right up to the very end. His biggest disappointment was not being
healthy enough to attend the 50s Frogs reunion a couple of weeks ago in
Branson. His daughters along with Hospice were by his side as he transited to
Frog Heaven.
Early this morning TR Manley and myself went
to see him yesterday. Although he was too weak to talk his eyes told us he
was happy to see us. I understand the services will be in the future and I
will let everyone know as soon as the daughters tell me. RIP Frogman, our
brother...we love ya! Sad Hooyah.
